Seduction of a woman is like a dance. CASSANOWA \"Life is a game.\" \"Life is a struggle.\" \"Love is a game.\" \" Love is like a flower - is fleeting. \" \" Women are like roses, each has thorns. \" \" Women are like a rainbow - beautiful though it disappears in view. \" Metaphors accompanied mankind for centuries and use them in almost every area of our lives. Did you ever wondered what really is a metaphor, and why we like to use them? The metaphor is nothing but a strategy of seeing things by analogy with something familiar. In other words, through metaphor, we are able to quickly, easily and better understand something new, because we use the similarity of things to something that you already know. Say you have your grandparents to explain what are the directories and files on your computer. In the language of the computer probably would take you a few hours and using an appropriate metaphor might shorten the time for some three minutes. Just that you will find things that contain some analogies to the problem that you want to explain. If you compare the hard drive on your computer to the book (both single element and the second is a collection of certain information), directories to the chapters (that and it is a closed whole) and files to pages, no problem your grandparents will be able to grasp the concept of computer . However, not all use the metaphor of a large similarity of two elements, and sometimes this similarity is only created upon creation of metaphor. Examples of such metaphors are sentences like \"This is like ...\". Perceiving the matter through such metaphors unconsciously accept many beliefs, thinking patterns and filters of reality. What do you think you are feeling fed to picking up girls, if you perceive them as the fight? How do you talk to girls, if you used the metaphor of the sentence would be a \"pick-up girls is like a fight.\"? I assure you that sense of frustration and pressure will be experienced on the agenda. After the fight, one person wins and another loses. Whether in that case you may be geared to his friendly rival? Do you have any scruples, if you fight with your winnings? |
